Al Hilal Makes World-Record €300m Bid for Kylian Mbappe as PSG Accepts the Offer

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has accepted a record-breaking bid of €300 million from Al Hilal for Kylian Mbappe, the talented forward. The bid, which translates to approximately £259 million or $332 million, gives the Saudi Pro League club permission to enter into discussions with the player.

This development follows PSG's decision to leave Mbappe out of their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea and subsequently put him up for sale, amidst ongoing contract negotiations.

While Mbappe had previously expressed his desire to join Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga, Al Hilal has now officially submitted an offer for the 24-year-old player.

Mbappe had earlier informed PSG that he would not be exercising an option in his contract signed the previous summer, but he intended to remain with the club for the upcoming season.

Although he has the option to extend his stay at PSG until 2025, the clause is set to expire at the end of the month, leading PSG to prepare for the upcoming campaign without their star forward.

If the deal with Al Hilal is finalized, it would set a new world-record transfer fee, and Mbappe would reportedly earn a substantial salary of around €13 million per week, amounting to €700 million per season.

Al Hilal has been active in the transfer market this summer, already securing signings such as Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea, and Sergei Milinkovic-Savic from SS Lazio.
