Beauty Benedict: Hello Mark, it's a pleasure to have you on our blog. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Mark: Well, I'm an enthusiast, jovial, shy, and introverted. I use art to speak or say what I can’t say out to the world since I’m an introvert and I’m filled with zeal.
Beauty Benedict: That's interesting. So, what drew you to ballpoint pens as your medium of choice?
Mark: What drew me to using pen was the ability to control it. At first, I saw an artist using it and I decided to try it out. To my surprise, I found it comforting and peaceful to any other medium I’ve used so far.
Beauty Benedict: Your artworks are quite impressive. Can you tell us a bit about the themes and subjects that you explore in your artwork?
Mark: Well, the themes I use for my work are divinely given, most are true life experiences, and some are my way of speaking out to the world. My works are currently centered on hope.
Beauty Benedict: That's great to hear. Balancing studies and art can be quite challenging. How do you manage to balance the two?
Mark: Balancing studies and art isn’t easy as I tend not to give both my full attention. It has been kind of challenging, but what I do is I use the day time for my school, then night is for art 10 pm till 5 am. I sleep for just two hours, and I’m up for classes.
Beauty Benedict: It's quite impressive that you find time for both. Do you have any upcoming projects or exhibitions that you're working on?
Mark: Yes, I do have upcoming projects and exhibitions. One is gonna be on May 31st, 2023.
Beauty Benedict: That's something to look forward to. Finally, do you have any words for other artists out there?
Mark: Well, for artists coming up, my word for you is, “na who don loose hope na him don fuck up”.
Beauty Benedict: Thank you so much for your time, Mark. It was great having you on our blog and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Mark: Thank you, Beauty, it was my pleasure.
