How to Verify your Blogger blog in Google Search Console

With only a few clicks, you can quickly verify your Blogger blog in Google Search Console. As part of their new Google Search Console training series, the Google Webmasters have created a video that demonstrates how to achieve that.

The detailed directions are listed below as well.

Using Google Search Console, you can keep an eye on and control how your website or blog appears in Google search results.

1. View and fix indexing issues

2. Ask for the re-indexing of newly added or revised content.

3. Review your site's Google Search traffic statistics, such as how frequently your site appears in Google Search results, which Google search terms bring up your site, and how frequently users click on your site when it appears in the search results.

4. Get notifications when your site has indexing, spam, or other problems.

5. Check the sites that link to your website.

6. AdSense advises employing Search Console tools to raise your site's exposure and, ideally, traffic.

To link to your website or blog from your YouTube video Cards and End Screens, you must additionally authenticate it in Search Console.

Verify your Blogger Blog in Google Search Console

Your Search Console account should automatically add and verify new Blogger blogs. However, you may quickly validate your Blogger blog in Search Console if it isn't added immediately.

The Google Webmasters help center includes guidelines for Search Console verification if you are utilizing Google Sites, Google Domains, or any other type of website.

How to validate your Blogger blog in Search Console is shown below:

1. Sign in to Google Search Console (https://search.google.com/search-console) with the same Google account email you use to sign in to Blogger.

2. At top left click the current Search Property.

Simply click the blog name to view the data if your Blogger blog has already been confirmed and is on the list. There shouldn't be anything else you need to do. Continue to step 3 if your blog is not there.

3. Click + Add Property

4. Select URL Prefix,  enter your blog URL, and click Continue

5. Verification should be immediate, and you should see an Auto Verification confirmation

The moment your blog is verified, Search Console begins to collect data.

Be aware that "older Blogger blogs" cannot be validated automatically but can be confirmed by using HTML tags.
